Do we want to move the app to the SD card or just the image files?

The images are actually stored on SD Card now only.
The app is currently stored in internal memory.
The reason we couldn't do this is Comic Reader is supported on Eclair, but move2sdcard is not present in Eclair.

I tried: http://mobile.tutsplus.com/tutorials/android/move-to-sd-card/ and http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4023068/how-to-enable-app-being-moved-to-sdcard-and-support-android-2-2-still
Both did not work I just got the message cannot move app to SD card.

Steps mentioned in http://mobile.tutsplus.com/tutorials/android/move-to-sd-card/ worked
Added the following in Manifest : android:installLocation="auto"
Changed build target to android-8
Cleaned project, before running.

But the only problem is we have to check on android-7 whether the app works fine. Because build target in android-8, the emulators with android-7 are not shown in list.

Only option is check on a phone.

I might not have cleaned project before running.

I have submitted this change. Can you check once on your setup.
Change the build target to api level 8 (android 2.2) in eclipse.
Right Click on Comic Reader in Eclipse -> Properties -> Android ->Click on Android 2.2.
Clean the project before launching.

I can confirm it works on android-8. But I tried it on android-17 and I get the error "Couldn't move app." I get no error in LogCat either.

Other people too have seen this in JellyBean.

There is a comment in this:
http://forums.androidcentral.com/sprint-galaxy-note-2/225352-moving-apps-sd-card.html

//copied from comment
It is my understanding that with Jelly Bean two functions were lost:

  1. The ability to move apps to the SD card
  2. Adobe Flash support.
