I wanted to test this mod before including it in my survival world.
I've went on a superflat world in creative, spawned about a gorillian chickens, and waited 10 mins.

Eggs everywhere, but not a single feather.

Mod version: 1.0
Forgelin: 1.8.3
Forge: 14.23.5.2847

Says chickenDropFeathers and Forgelin are loaded.

I cloned the git repo and build the Fabric version with ./gradlew build and when I use the mod my Minecraft freezes on Preparing spawn area. When putting the mod on the server, nothing happens, because the mixin is not injected. When I add the mixin to the server mixin "chickendropfeathersmod.mixins.json" The server freezes on Preparing spawn area as well.
This might be because of a conflict with another mod I have. I will test the mod without other mods now and try to figure out the problem.

I crashed when picking up a chicken in third person with carry on.

In first person the chicken doesn't visually load and produces massive lag.

We're using packwiz to manage our modpack and I realized when installing Chicken Drop Feathers, it picked the Fabric version instead of Forge. This appears to be the case because you have a version that's marked as compatible with both Fabric and Forge, but then multiple files attached to that version. I believe this usage is incorrect, and there's no good way for an automated process such as a launcher or updater to find out which file it is supposed to use. At this time I had to manually point the download at the right URL and update the hash myself.

Would you please create two separate versions on Modrinth, one for Forge and one for Fabric? This should resolve the issue for us, and others using your mod. And I believe it is the correct way to use Modrinth. (Though feel free to ask the Modrinth people for confirmation.) Thank you!

Not much to write other than it would have been really nice to have it. They seem to drop far more feathers than egg, seems somewhat unbalanced.

Update the forge version to 1.19.4
