I've fixed the issue. Thanks for reporting. Apparently I wasn't creating the cache directory unless I was using a config option.

I've managed to run the GL version but I see some artifacts. Will investigate tomorrow.

I've pulled the latest commit and tried it but I got no errors.

The first thing you can check is if the ..\shaders\Quad.vert.glsl exists.

If it exists maybe you can add a diagnostic message in ResourceFilesystem.cpp:301 and output the fname.

Expected result some sort of window.

Actual result is a flickering of the window and nothing.

About the test.log. Are you sure you captured everything including stderr? After the Initializing offscreen renderer there are mode detailed messages for the different render passes.

I'll try to run on my windows box as well later today.

No there is no copying. You need to run the samples from each sample's directory.

Switched to vulkan backend...

Creating the cache folder fails. Once created and its files are dos2unix, it proceeds further.
