Now that the Internship & Part-Time Job Fair is over, can you please replace that tile with the Graduate & Professional School Fair tile? Thanks!
Blurbs for sections on the resource pages.
I showed Meaghan our progress on the nav and she had some comments. Here is what she liked:
-the expansion across the top
-the way the drop down functions
Here were her critiques:
-she wasn't a fan of how elements within the nav took up the whole width of the screen - it seemed too spread out to her
-she told me that we can't shorten the logo to "AU" or "Career Center" to "Careers"
With all of that said, I think we need to keep working and think of a better solution. I've been brainstorming and sketching and have come up with some other options that build upon what you've already done. Anyway, we can discuss this on Tuesday when you come in.
This is what happens when no one tells me what happens in this office. I didn't know what the Virtual Career Fair was and so I googled it and chose the link I thought was correct, and of course, it was incorrect. ANYWAY, please change the link for the virtual career fair event to this:
https://www.careereco.com/Fair/EventDetails?fairId=f169dd9d-7ced-44a5-8529-a3c1000cfb56
This is more something I'm going to attempt to do on my own, but I will do it when you're here, just in case I break something. There will also be an image that needs to go into the slideshow. Again, I'm going to try....we'll see how it goes!
I need links for the following resources (as mentioned in the email):
I know Meaghan is a part of this too, I just figured this way we could keep track of our to-do list a bit more clearly. Also, it feels nice to say you completed a task, so yeah. 😛
Nav bar font on Jobs page doesn't match the homepage. I know you are currently working on a new nav bar, so don't waste time if it will take forever to do.
Put "prospective" students last on the drop down menu under students, which will move "undergraduate" first.
Same (or very similar) content as the current Future Tigers page. We will see how we make this work.
(auburn.edu/career/futuretigers)
My face every time someone tells me something is wrong with the site in IE:
For real though. NO dynamic content. Didn't appear to be a script issue, as Melvin's copy didn't register any errors to the console. Check the way we're displaying these. Probably as simple as
<!--[if lt ie 10] .event, .tweet, .blog { display: inline-block; } --!>
but one can never be sure about these things.
I expected it to automatically fix the Safari and early-IE rendering bugs concerning flexbox support, but nothing came of it. Is this thing even on?
Add "Specialized Resources" to nav (put it last, after "prospective"). This page will include resources for the following populations (resources to come). DO NOT MAKE LIVE UNTIL FINAL SITE LAUNCH.
-Veterans
-International Students
-Ethnic Minorities
-Gender Identity
-Sexual Orientation
-Accessibility
Needs to work inside Grunt.
I realize that by the time you come to work tomorrow and add Unum to the start sponsors for CEET, it will only be up for like 12 hours and then the event will be over.....but we need to make it happen. Sorry! Diane forgot to put it on the list.

Right now it always loads angular, even for e.g. the All Majors event page, despite that those pages don't need them. I need to be able to figure out if the page needs angular and only load it if so (via the templating engine).
Depends on #16, because if that task is completed, this will become outdated.
When you come in on Thursday, come see me about this one. There is apparently a schedule to this event that we need to add to the page and change the "networking" icon to "scheduled interviews" like the EID page.
Subset of #16
Looking at Nightwatch.js atm.
The login still fails to log you in (and requests that you do so a second time) if you didn't already have an AU Access cookie when you tried the first time.
The below is the most recent correspondence I received from Dave Musgrave.
Jake,
We’ve talked this over and we believe this would be doable. There would obviously be some scripting involved on your end in order to grab the necessary information (lt & execution values) and then post the information back.
As you are all ready aware an alternative to recreating the login form for our CAS login page for your http://auburn.edu/career OR http://jobs.auburn.edu page and doing a POST would be to provide a simple link to https://auburn-csm.symplicity.com/sso/students.
If a user is all ready authenticated to our CAS system https://authenticate.auburn.edu and has a TGT (ticket granting ticket) associated with their current browser session there would be no need for that user to enter their credentials a second time and would simply gain access to csm-symplicity by clicking the link. Otherwise the user would click the link and get handed off to the CAS login page for the csm-symplicity service as designed.
At a minimum my suggestion here would be to use the CAS direct service URL link for csm-symplicity https://auburn-csm.symplicity.com/sso/students permanently OR temporarily until you can work out all the bugs with your login form.
From live headers, the values you are posting (I see that you grabbed the LT & execution values – not to sure of you need the eventId value) look like this:
username=<username>&password=<password><=LT-
7402-fuM5q6Oh1bD34TzF4ATG5p7rDgfzSm&execution=e1s1&_eventId=submit&submit=
You then get redirected to CAS login page and NOT authenticated. At this point if I do a view source I see that the LT value is not the same as what you are attempting to POST back to CAS.
<input type="hidden" name="lt" value="LT-7403-zLg1KD9fZVbJF793FFJw5zgbfoK6qj" />
<!-- (not the same as above value – must not differ) -->
<input type="hidden" name="execution" value="e1s1" />
Could be the yahoo query you're using.. Not sure though.
var yb = 'https://query.yahooapis.com/v1/public/yql?'
, yq = 'q=select%20*%20from%20html%20where%20url%3D%22https%3A%2F

After adding display: -webkit-flex;
to Sass, our current configuration of Autoprefixer removes this -- I have no idea why. I thought it was only supposed to add things, anyways.
I finally have access to the site, but I seem to only be able to edit pages under the old template. When you come in on Tuesday, I may have you teach me how to edit the homepage and event page you've built. And by edit, I mean add images, change links, add events, etc.
Pretty low priority, but it's a bit jarring that these elements look "flat" but have a different sense of perspective from the rest of our page.
Wayyyy low priority.
Consider linking the location field for each event to the Auburn map, and consider adding a link to the date/time that will add the event to your calendar (that would be SUPER fancy omg!).
some kids are hooligans and have macbooks n stuff
How come the Comm & Media Day slide is still up? I thought I had switched it to YMW. We need to figure out why it's doing that. Does it have to do with the nav bar switch?
So I’ve been working on the icons for the TRL Features info-graphic. And I would like to do some rearranging of the icons we currently have on the homepage with the new ones I’ve made for the jobs page. Below is a “to-do list,” if you will, so that you can stay organized with all of the requests for edits. Sorry if some of this is self-explanatory, I just want to make sure I’m being clear.
-Move the briefcase (currently in the “About Our Office”) to Full-Time jobs/Internships on the TRL info-graphic
-Move the “upside down teardrop” (currently next to our address) to Employers Coming to Campus on the TRL info-graphic
-Use “AboutOurOffice.svg” to replace the briefcase icon
-Use “Address.svg” to replace the “upside down teardrop” icon
-“PTJ.svg” – Part-time Jobs
-“Interviews.svg” – Interviews
-Keep the events icon the same J
-“AndMore.svg” – and Additional Job Search Resources
Let’s make the “…and more!” say “…and Additional Job Search Resources” – hopefully it fits, if it doesn’t, let me know.
Thanks, Jake! I appreciate it! Let me know if I saved the svg files incorrectly (that is the right file format, correct?) or you need clarification on anything!
Thank you!
Alexandra Williamson
I think we are so close! Let's talk about it some more on Thursday. I'd like to see what my original layout looks like and we can go back if we need to.
For some reason, the calendar on the Jobs page is out of date. Is it not pulling in the events in the same way the homepage is?
There are 24 of them. If the list is needed by anyone else working on this in the future, just let me know, or ask Jay.
So, I was going to attach the SEOTY svg to this, but it only accepts PNGs, GIFs and JPGs...so I've sent you an email
Sending you a pdf via email of salary info that needs to replace the pdf in this link and where ever else it's located on our website.
http://www.auburn.edu/academic/provost/undergrad_studies/career/webresources/ausalarydata.pdf
Change "current" to "undergraduate"
This needs doing. Now.
Same content as the future tigers page (http://www.auburn.edu/career/futuretigers/index.html).
ETCE needs to be removed from the calendar and from the slideshow.
Before we meet with Jay.
This would be a serious upgrade for the home page. Assemble's "data" option allows .json files to be given a context when compiling from Handlebars templates. As long as I can set up a cronjob for the blog posts like I did for the twitter feed, I can cut as much as a second off of load times (sometimes more!) on the home page.
That would be, like, wow. Totally wow.
There is a map for EID that needs to be added to the page. I would just treat it the same way you did for ETCE and add a button that says "See employer locations on site" that links to the pdf. The pdf should be in your email :)
