I'd like to have a setting to create new pages with a .md
extension.
Hi,
According to the documentation, surrounding a word with double square brackets should make it linkable (e.g. [[Projects]]). This works fine on Android, but for some reason it is not working in the Windows client. Links to pages with multiple camel case words work fine on Windows e.g. MyProjects.
Would it be possible to get a fix or perhaps a suggestion of what might be causing the issue?
Thanks.
P.s. Great project otherwise!
This is one of my almost everyday apps on Android. There is one feature I'm missing: subdirectories. When I create a link foo/bar
, I'd prefer Ema to create a foo
directory with a bar.txt
file in it. It may have other consequences (dropbox sync, pages list, etc).
Occasionally I press the escape key by accident when editing in Ema Personal Wiki. It is very frustrating to lose hours of work occasionally due to said mistakes - and "close and discard edits" is probably not the behavior that most users expect when pressing said key.
I would appreciate if it was changed to "close and save edits" instead, or possibly a "are you sure, edits yadda yadda" popup (not a great solution).
Would be neat to have a page on which all previously created pages are listed, with their title, camel-case name and associated link.
This would greatly help me manage my wiki, as sometimes i create pages for similar things, with similar names, but forget which name i used before, or what is the exact ema:link to this page.
It would be nice if it were possible to create multiple notebooks -- I currently have a ton of pages that are grouped for various topics (i.e. work, personal projects, random ideas, etc.). While I can organize these under separate "home" pages, it'd be cleaner and easier if I could put them into completely different notebooks altogether.
Another benefit is that it'd reduce the potential for page name clashes. For example, I might have a personal programming project and want a page titled DatabaseStructureIdeas; that could easily clash with a similar page for a work project -- or even another personal project.
Not completely sure what would be a reasonable file-based structure for this; I was thinking sub-directories might work, but that might clash with another issue on here. However, that'd also allow for having nested notebooks/groups of notebooks fairly easily, if that were desired.
I'm running Android 8.0.0. long after I have closed personal wiki. I get a prompt saying that "personal wiki is running". Suggest that I should force stop it.
I am using Ubuntu version. Will try to fix on my fork.
Currently it seems EMA doesn't handle links pointing to anchors within the same page. It would be a great feature to be able to reach a section within a long text without having to scroll down 20 times.
This makes perfect sense as Markdown does not support it, but as an additional feature is was actually quite useful. Still works on the Windows client though.
Not sure if it was going to be re-implemented, but just thought I'd mention it, as my shopping list looks weird on my phone now :)
Prefix pagenames with a subdirectory name. This adds support for different wiki's with the same structure.
In addition to drop box it would be nice if personal wiki supported syncing to github.
