Was able to drag a CRT into the window of the Standalone variant and was able to select and play voices from the cart. However, the CRT is not persisted - it is missing again after I restart Synergia. I don’t see the CRT in any folders under ~/Library - perhaps a permission problem?
Success when I copy the CRT’s directly to ~/Library/Application Support/Synergia/cartridges. Note the cartridges folder was not created by the installer (was it intended to be? I found the pathname in the Settings file)

when I drag a cart file to the GUI on the standalone, it moves the whole GUI to the left or right, or up or down in the GUI window during the drag about half the time.
i believe the state is saved in the song, but loading needs to be cached until the cpu has entered main loop.
No matter what settings are used, the portamento does not work.

Periodic clicks occur to the timbre being played when using small I/O buffer setting, i.e. 64 samples in logic. At 128 samples, clicking still occurs but at a slower rate

I can drag a CRT into the interface with the standalone Synergia, but when I try to do it from an AU instrument hosted in Logic Pro, “nothing happens” (no error, but the CRT does not end up listed as an available cart in the menu)
.bin files are the universal standard for EPROM readers and burners. I have all the Synergy FW in that format, but the Synergia requires ".dat’ file format which appears top only exists on the groups.io Synergy group.
Is there a possibility of updating Synergia so that the .bin files can be used in Synergia directly?
I am running macOS Sonoma on an intel Mac.
PS: I have not tried re-naming the ‘bin’ to ‘.dat’ to see if that has any effect.

if I have two Synergias and select VRAM on one, then select the other track, select VRAM on it (so far so good - see green port numbers for both), then go back to first track, VRAM button is no longer lit. Even though both VRAM buttons are now not lit, the ports.dat file still contains entries for them. Even if i click the VRAM button (and the led lights), the green port annotation never gets displayed.

I have a track for which I selected a non-standard cart (CARLOS2) and selected a voice. Closed Logic; reopened the project and the Cartridge button is not selected (so playing the voice from the factory ROM). The CARLOS2 cart is selected in the BANK dropdown, but since Cartridge is not selected, it's playing the wrong voice after reopening the project.

First impressions are good, except with studio One 4. Typical beta issues.
Works in Reaper (have it just to test plugins).
Standalone works fine, but really needs ASIO, so I can use my Quantum interface properly.
When loaded in Studio One 4 (haven't upgraded to 5, it locks up all VSTs. Others loaded will not come up again after Synergi is loaded, and Synergia will not show on screen, will not show interface at all. Tried reloading a couple of times. Have a lot of VSTs loaded, and never had this issue with any, even older 32bit vsts using jbridge.. I will DL the ver 5 demo and see if it works there.,
The sounds DO sound like I remember, will play with it more this evening. Love it for a beta version.
One thing I noticed, that is starts without a preset selected, just annoying, not a problem. If I remember correctly that didn't happen with the Synergy..

this will allow installing as admin, and running using a different user account
I put in the ROM files before opening the application and plugin. Even if I use the right sampling rate, buffer size, and ASIO4ALL, it won't open on any DAW. When I open the standalone, I only see a transparent screen.

Tried OSX 13.6 and on a different machine with 14.6.
Installation completes, no errors nor requests for permission, neither app nor plugins install. Tried the install location button too
Update: I should have figured it out when I looked at the install default location option. Files are installed in
/Users/user name/Applications
/Users/user name/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/
once found I was able to manually move the plugins to my regular plugins folder
I've tested both the Standalone and the AU and found that neither will respond to MIDI note D#1 (In Logic, D#0 on some systems).
It's scale and patch independent.

Some combination of loading carts (in my tests CARLOS1 or CARLOS2) and loading SYN files when running two instances of Synergia in a Logic project causes Synergia to crash.
