easysms's Issues

Problem on reception - visual and audio missing

apparently there's a problem when you receive an SMS. a new SMS is not properly indicated in the thread overview page and the conversation page. does the main screen indication (envelope in the top bar) get raised?

is there any audio indication for an incoming SMS ? if not can we add one?

Short tap on "new message" should have audio

on the right when you tap the edit pen the timing is a problem - too long a tap on the icon will open a window with the info "new message" and the program will open the input tray with the received SMS. To compose a new message, the user must press briefly. The problems are likely because the users do not know about.

not sure what she means by this. but we could have action on long tap only across the application short tap could read out.

english prompt: message sent,

a few remaining prompts that maybe move to the language values-de etc. or are not taken from there:

English prompts are used but with German pronunciation:
confirmation of "message sent":
"Please enter a message"
"speak now" - prompt for

English prompt (text)
Choose a contact (on new message) - should be "Kontakt auswählen"

Crash of speech-to-text when starting from a non-thread

SENT BY VERONIKA:
Currently there is a problem with the voice recording function - test person told me that the app always crashes before sending SMS. They used instead of text blocks appear to prefer the voice recording function. Apparently it worked a few times - now she can send SMS in this way no longer.

Approach, as it has been described to me:
First Compose SMS on tap (in the Inbox)
Second Phone number search in contact list and tap the desired recipient
Third tap the bottom left icon for voice recording
4th Window will open with the information: "To record words, tap on the window".
5th record desired text
Then the program crashes appear (before the SMS can be sent)

Greetings
Veronika

Allow message language to be changed

Messages could arrive in several languages, but currently they get read in the system's language. There should be a way to easily switch the language and/or even detect it. It has to be determine if this should be a message or contact setting.

Use a ContentObserver to detect SMS sent and received

Currently there's a thread that updates the UI. It was reported that this solutions makes the application freeze, plus it introduces unnecessary overhead.

A ContentObserver allows the application to be notified when a new sms has been received or sent.

crash

still crashes on my phone 2.3.6

error prompts - "please provide telephone number" is still in English

apart from "choose contact" in the new SMS view "Kontakt auswählen" there are a few prompts still in English

  1. When tapping the microphone icon: "Speak Now" (written) and verbally: "Schpeck noff" (in German pronounciation)
  2. Second "Please enter the number" comes up:
    a) when I go for the voice command would send the SMS and the phone number was not included from the contact (because e.g. the contact exists both on the SIM and the phone)
    b) When trying to send an SMS: if was has forgotten to select the phone number
"Bitte geben sie eine Nummer ein wählen sie einen Kontakt aus"

Is it possible to just enter a phone number? if you can then the above statement is correct. Otherwise: "Wählen sie bitte einen Kontakt aus" (please choose a contact)

  1. voice toast after SMS has been sent is: "Missage sent" (German pronounciation)
    Should be "SMS wurde versandt"

mix up of languages on send button... and error message Did not call on change () (false)

Send works both textSMS as well as voice recording, but: message that SMS has been delivered sounds funny = 'mix of English and German "recorded voice says:" mess ash send "and the sending process will flash momentarily following error message:" Did not call on change () (false) "- but the SMS is sent

HK: not sure- maybe it's just that there's still the English prompt.

Contact number taken for SMS after contact selection

Existing number from a contact is taken provided the number is stored under "mobile" (you can not change it - is not user friendly so). Could we take any existing number in case there is no mobile number. the participants have many contacts and they often do not have mobile as the type. So in case there's no mobile number take any number that's there.

editor colour, and short tap audio on send button

Words from copy received SMS in the edit works great - but presentation is very confusing. Visual separation of the editing (maybe different color) would be good. Send icon is hard to see - good would be to read out "send" when you tap short/lightly on the icon.

old French prompts

Really funny it is when editing a new SMS - : If they succeed, the head appears with the question mark and the information "Nom inconnu Numero inconnue" - so can my subjects do anything. Could this have "Enter Number" or something?

I have changed this in the code I hope.
