Problem with back ticks about mononoki HOT 2 CLOSED

I'm observing somewhat different effect; lowercase d followed by a back tick results in tick drawn near the baseline. Present on non-retina Mountain Lion and Mavericks installations.

I'm using Mavericks with retina display, and I'm seeing the same behavior as @eyesee1 in TextEdit. In fact, I'm seeing erratic behavior with a back tick after many characters. Here's a screenshot with each letter, lower and upper case, followed by a back tick:

For a few characters, the back tick appears in front of the character.

In iTerm2, I'm seeing the same behavior as @dtcaciuc. The back tick is drawn near the baseline after these characters: cdfiB. In addition, the back tick appears higher than normal after every upper case letter but B.
