obsidian-raindrop's Issues

Can't install?

Hello, feel like I'm missing something utterly obvious - but I can't figure out how to install!?!

System: Mac M1 Max, Monterey 12.6, Obsidian Version 1.1.9 (Installer 1.1.9)
Steps tried.

  1. Can't find in the community plugin library (searched raindrop, obsidian-raindrop etc.)
  2. Tried install via BRAT and got this error:

BRAT
mtopping/obsidian-raindrop.git
A manifest.json or manifest-
beta.json file does not exist in the
root directory of the repository. This
plugin cannot be installed.

  1. Tried manually installing. Download repo zip, coped all files .obsidian/plugins. Force reload Obsidian. Obsidian Raindrop appears - when attempt to activate this error is thrown: "Failed to load plugin obsidian-raindrop"
  2. Searched Obsidian forum for "raindrop"
  3. Search Obsidian discord for "raindrop"
  4. Cried
  5. Posted this.

Limit to 25 bookmarks in results

There seems to be a limit of 25 to the max number of bookmarks that can be listed. Is that a feature of the raindrop API or something you’ve included ?
thanks

Error on query

Hello,

I am getting an error when I tried to use the Recipe query.

The code is giving me the following error:

Error: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'split')

Code used:

search: created: 2023-04-10

I already put my tested token and it. It works with the Raindrop highlight plugin. I tried to uninstall the Raindrop highlight plugin to see if it would help, but it didn't.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Failed to load

I have just added the unzipped folder of files to my plugins folder, and forced a reload of Obsidian. (Obsidian v.0.14.15) and when I try enabling the plugin it doesn't budge and just says failed to load.

Collections list modal - hierarchy not being displayed consistently

I have some nested collections in my raindrop, and when I select the Manage option the list showing in the modal window is displayed inconsistently: some collections are shown with the full hierarchical name while others just with the collection name, this leads to collections with the same parent being pulled entirely differently, because this also as impact on the import.

The Trekking collections in Raindrop are inside Clippings/Travel, but here are shown separately

Unable to scroll in Manage modal

I have opened many raindrop collections. In the Obsidian raindrop plugin, I can't activate the collections I have used. I can't scroll in the Manage modal.

Add extensible button functionality for each highlight/bookmark

I think the scope of enabling buttons would open a lot for this plugin, a few usecases right off the top of my head:

  • copy url and highlight to clipboard (provide option in settings to provide template for inputs)
  • create a new page from page/bookmark

Add option to display description in output

It is apart of my workflow to basically re-write the description that is auto pulled in so that I can describe why I bookmarked something.
ex:

I do this sometimes when I do not have anything specific to highlight, but I want to remember something particular about a page as a whole.

Could you please give us the option in the plugin to show the description with each document that is pulled in? Please let me know if you have any questions

FR: Sync Highlights

Hi,

Recently Raindrop.io added the ability to highlight and annotate in bookmarks.
It would be nice to sync them to Obsidian, similar to the hypothe.is plugin.
@mtopping, do you think it's possible? Do you find this feature important?

Thanks.

Daily Bookmarks

Hi.
I cannot get the daily bookmarks working.
Any suggestions or ideas on what it should be turned on to make it work?

Thanks

Question

Raindrop is developing and testing highlights and annotations. Will you plan to support these of they're easily available on the API?

FR: Allow for manual refresh

Would be great to be able to initiate a manual refresh of Bookmark List. Like what you can do with the Readwise plugin.

Pull in individual highlights

This plugin is awesome. I know highlights are fairly new. Was going to see if it was on your radar to pull this data as well. Thanks!
