I'm glad you're contributing to this project/tool! The code is open-source and therefore open for debugging, but there is no official support planned for it. That being said, have you tried making the EXE debuggable and connecting to it from LabVIEW to see where things are failing?
If you need help with debugging this further in an EXE I recommend following up with NI Support or consulting the NI forums, here: https://forums.ni.com
