I added !overflow-y-scroll !pr-0 to the html styles. In tailwind.css for example:

@tailwind base;
@tailwind components;
@tailwind utilities;

@layer base {
  html {
    @apply !overflow-y-scroll !pr-0; /*`@nuxt/ui` override to prevent scroll bar jumping with modals */
  }
}

This prevents the janky effect with closing modals. Maybe it helps in this case too!
