i3-hud-menu's Issues

Support for Ubuntu 16+

I started debugging the Python code a bit and the menu arrays are empty. I haven't been able to get it to work yet. Does anyone else have problems? Any tips or things to check?

License

Would you consider providing a license?

Thanks for the project! I think that your idea is really great and I'd like to build upon it, but I'd prefer to work on something that has a FOSS license (and I obviously can't just take your code and stick my own license onto it). I probably could re-create the project from scratch, especially if I looked at the portions of the Unity source corresponding to the HUD, but I don't want to unnecessarily duplicate work.

I've taken the liberty of sending a pull request with the MIT license.

How can I use this on Gnome

Can I use thus on Gnome? If not presently, is there a tweak I can add to my ~/.profile or some other configuration file to make it work?

When I run i3-hud-menu.py I get this error:

Service is running and .profiles is set according to documentation.
