Hi @scokobro ,

first of, thank you for this filter.
I tried to run my pandoc with pandoc --filters abbrev.py test.md -o out.pdf, however I get this error
ImportError: No module named pandocfilters
I have pandoc installed with pip3 install pandocfilters and it works with other filters such as pandoc-citeproc and pandoc-fignos. I just have a guess, that I have installed the pandocfilters with pip3. For that I installed python3 with homebrew and it seems like the pandocfilters are not installed in thepython namespace?
Nevertheless, any help would be appreciated.
