i think you need to specifie your directory where s6-rc-init can find the compiled database with the -c options. if it doesn't specified s6-rc-init take by default /etc/s6-rc/compiled. Please see http://skarnet.org/software/s6-rc/s6-rc-init.html

@reverendhomer: @Obarun is right. The argument to s6-rc-init is the scandir where s6-svscan
is running, not the place where the compiled database is stored. This place, if it is not /etc/s6-rc/compiled
, should be given as the argument to s6-rc-init's -c
option.
