Using the current release of the "Write to Log Analytics" task, the drop down box for the workspace contains no entries and the following error appears in red below the box:

Failed to query service connection API: 'https://management.azure.com/subscriptions/resourceGroups/RG-NAME-HERE/providers/microsoft.operationalinsights/workspaces?api-version=2015-03-20'. Status Code: 'BadRequest', Response from server: '{"error":{"code":"InvalidSubscriptionId","message":"The provided subscription identifier 'resourceGroups' is malformed or invalid."}}'

From the URI in that error message it appears that the Subscription ID is missing. It should be included per line 48 of loganalytics/v1/analytics.ps1, but the $($Endpoint.Data.SubscriptionId) variable appears to be null perhaps.
