Using jaq-core as a library about jaq HOT 4 CLOSED

@01mf02 I'd also love to use jaq-core as a library in one of my own projects for jq-like filters and transformations. I tried integrating jq-rs but it's magnitudes slower on large inputs than just shelling out to jq (which I do atm).

Hello @tjbell and @martinohmann, it is indeed possible to use jaq-core as crate in your own programs. I have just added some documentation in the development version how to do that, you can see it after running cargo doc --open and navigating to the docs of jaq-core. If you have any problems / questions, feel free to ask them here.

@tjbell, perhaps you were not able to import jaq_core::Ctx because this was only available in the development version, not in the version on crates.io. I just released a new version of jaq / jaq_core, so perhaps this solves your issue. :)
