No, the game doesn't use the IDE but only GDCore, GDCpp/GDJS which are LGPL v3 so you can create closed source game (and even commercial games).
We should maybe add a little text on the welcome screen or on the about dialog to explain that clearly.

Indeed, there is already on the license page of the GD wiki a note
explaining that games can basically use any license you wish :) (you
are not forced to make your games open source). This note should be copied
in the readme (and in part of the software where the licenses are
displayed, but I think it is already done in the "About dialog").
