Might I simply suggest someone else enable adaway with other lists enabled or none at all, enable tcpdump within the settings (aka log DNS requests) and use their phone for a while. Open every app on your phone at least, play a few games, etc. Don't bother browsing around the web- just stick with seeing what domains your apps connect to. These domains you collect via app usage are the actual domains a mobile list should catch.

Other DNS blocklists are geared towards web browsing. The list on my device has maybe 500 entries on it that were collected from mobile apps.

Just log them, add funny looking domains to your blacklist by long clicking them in the dns log. Now, redownload your lists to pull in these additional blocked domains and test.

The entries you've added are in the Your Lists preference screen. If you grant adaway storage permission you can export this list for use on another device or for submitting here hopefully.
