Hi--thanks for filing this. All our current installation stuff is temporary for now--we have a backlog item to make a real build that can be properly installed (although the card description is lame right now): https://trello.com/c/mhxs6U8f -- I'll add a link to this issue to that card so we can take your suggestions into account when we work on it.
