Suggestion: Nicer event handler about factorio-stdlib HOT 2 CLOSED

Definitely worth considering some syntax sugar here. I've come up with similar sugar for logging too:

Logger = Logger.new("foo")
local Log = function(str, ...) Logger.log(string.format(str, ...)) end
Log("Foo %s", 'bar')

vs

Logger = Logger.new("foo")
Logger.log(string.format("Foo %s", 'bar'))

from factorio-stdlib.

On this track I have added

local Log = require('logger')('path', 'file')
-- or
logger = require('logger')
local Log = logger('path, 'file')

Log('msg') -- log the message
Log() -- flush the buffer

Additionally Log objects are cached so one less need for globals!

My next step will be removing the functions from the object but that will break backwards compatibility and I am not sure if I want to do that on this module.

As far as the Event stuff goes..... My vote is no change. Would require too many "manual" updates
