Sorry I haven't tried with updated google-services library, so not sure what the issue is. I'll try to reproduce this on my end.

Ok, I think the latest version is 4.0.1 or something like that

For google-services 3.3.0, all play-services libraries should be 15+ version. So try upgrading all libraries to 15+ or downgrade the google-service to 3.2.

I was running 1.0.4 without any issues, since updating to 1.1.0 I receive this error, but only while building for release.
AAPT: No resource found that matches the given name: attr 'android:keyboardNavigationCluster'.

This error is not specific to this library, I think you need to upgrade your compileSdkVersion & buildToolsVersion to fix this, or changing the support library version.
