I really don't want to add workarounds to bugs in other software (which this clearly is). Give cx_freeze a shot and tell me what you get.

I can give it a shot. Would it be possible to alter the 'from Queue import Queue' line to alias the import such that it would work correctly with py2exe though?

Did you try with cx_freeze? I personally prefer that because it supports Python 3 too.

Editing 'apscheduler\threadpool.py' and altering line 12 from:

#!python

from Queue import Queue, Empty 

to

#!python

from Queue import Queue as _apsqueue, Empty 

And line 42 from:

#!python

        self._queue = Queue()

to:

#!python

        self._queue = _apsqueue()

Seems to have resolved this.
