By default, Jest uses jsdom environment and therefore axios performs requests via XMLHttpRequest. In order to change this behaviour, add "setupTestFrameworkScriptFile": "./__tests__/setup.js" to your jest.config.js and create ./__tests__/setup.js file with the following content:
global.XMLHttpRequest = undefined
