uninitialized constant RequestSpecHelper (NameError) about todos-api HOT 3 CLOSED

Hi @beniusij, thanks for reaching out. Check that you have the RequestSpecHelper module defined in spec/support/request_spec_helper.rb.

Yup, that was missing.

What concerns me now is that I didn't have support folder and request_spec_helper.rb file. In tutorial, it was mentioned that I need to create these while configuring the app (unless I missed it my mistake). Therefore, I though it was supposed to be generated during installation.

How was it supposed to be?

That's awesome @beniusij! RSpec does not generate the support directory by default since it's not used in most cases. Thus, you have to create it.

However, RSpec defines an autoloader in rails_helper.rb for the support directory (usually commented out) which can be commented out.

Dir[Rails.root.join('spec/support/**/*.rb')].each { |f| require f }
