Emit ask to specific intent about alexa-skills-kit-sdk-for-nodejs HOT 4 CLOSED

I tried the unhandled intent to see if I could do this in there however I can't pass any slots to the unhandled intent - is that right?

Slots are available in all intent handlers (including Unhandled) via

this.event.request.intent.slots

but there is no guarantee that a slot would be filled as they are dependent on which utterance was selected.

When you tried to use the unhandled intent, what do your utterances look like? Do you have a catch all utterance which is just a slot value?

If you're looking for free form natural speech, you're going to have get creative with your slots. You'll need to variablize the hell out of the utterances and compare against some sort of common dictionary.
