I installed Ralph letter by letter from installation manual and i confirm this bug.

What Database do you use?

MySQL, with default configuration values. I didn't setup and run message queues, if that's relevant. Version 1.2.9.
Adding ventures does work correctly in 2.0.0-rc1, however.

It seems that this bug doesn't appear in the current version of Ralph (i.e. 2.0.0-rc7) - if anyone can confirm this, then we can close this issue.
