Design: Use in notebook interface? about jupyterlab_voyager HOT 2 OPEN

For the first problem, I have the same feeling: it interrupts the work flow. What do you think if we have something like the graph building tool in Excel? One concern is that with the data we have in python notebook (usually don't have a strict format like csv), directly using Vega or Vega-lite would be easier for the users?

Personally, I always use Altair if I am in a notebook and trying to visualize some data with Vega Lite. I think it will be important to switch between some GUI editor for the visualization and declarative format. So yeah, you should be able to move between these two.
