Oh, I think you misunderstood something. This lib only works with NodeJS on the backend, since the browser won't allow us to work with lower level stuff like network sockets and etc. Packages like 'net', 'http' and etc are from nodejs itself.
You will probably need to setup a backend, connect to the routerboard through there, and on the frontend you query for data using REST or Websockets.
