this and resource are captured by reference. Are you calling .get() on the returned task to ensure the task is done execution before they go out of scope?

I cannot reproduce this. Could you write a small test program which reproduces this issue?

@Amanieu, I guess it's my misunderstanding. I don't keep the task object, I'm just calling spawn. I don't need to wait for it. So If I don't keep the task object and it goes out of scope the task will be cancelled ? Then it's strange things because the first time I call it - it works as I expected...

BTW, awesome framework =)

If the task object goes out of scope the task continues executing in the background. In order to ensure a task has completed, you must call .get(). You could also use local_task and local_spawn which do block when they go out of scope, but those are designed to be used for high-performance cases since they do not allocate any memory and are slightly trickier to use.
