You can already change a user's status in the admin crud, if that's what you mean. You'll also need to change the DefaultController::register() and DefaultController::afterRegister() functions to not send the automatic email.

Your answer proved correct, but I was wonder if something like this will end up by default on the module? Maybe with another Module parameter, like $manualActivation, which, by default, registers every user as User::STATUS_INACTIVE and skips email activation (with an prioritary if).

Anyways, fantastic module, @amnah. I suppose everyone could make-do with Yii2's AuthManagers, but your module removes a lot of boilerplate (user management and administration). 👍

I suppose I could. I hesitate initially because it's such a minor use case, but it's not like it would be a big change. I'll see what I can do.
