I spent 5 years to finish my Civil Engineering degree, half a year to get my professional license, and 1.5 years working in the industry. That's a total of 7 years devoted to civil engineering.

I lost my job during the pandemic and tried my luck in IT. I was hired by a company that accepts career shifters. I am now 3.5 years into my journey as a software engineer, primarily focusing on web development.

My main advocacies in my software engineering career are:

1. mastering the fundamentals
2. writing clean, maintainable code
3. mentorship and knowledge-sharing
