Dear @kazza789,
this is the old infamous #39 bug.
This old bug has been solved on Mar 23, 2009. I noticed the Debian packagers about the fixing and the urgency of upgrading their package in Aug 12, 2010. I don't exactly what happened after that. Fact is that I keep receiving this type of reports from a problem that is related to Debian and Ubuntu.
I suggest you two things:
- discard the Debian/Ubuntu version and use the upstream distribution (instruction below)
- (if you want) fill a bug report on Debian or Ubuntu
Do that:
sudo apt-get remove trash-cli
sudo apt-get install python-setuptools
sudo easy_install trash-cli
Note that the command line names changed since the last Ubuntu/Debian packaging, you have to use trash-put
, trash-list
, trash-empty
instead of trash
, listtrash
, and emptytrash
. There is only one exception. The name of restore-trash
does not have been changed, in fact I want to reserve the name trash-restore
for a bit different command.
from trash-cli.
