When displayed bookmark icon showed right to line number it's looks ugly.
I propose show bookmark item over line numbers, or left to its.
I have never used bookmarks - why they should occupy this important place?

Another nice feature youls be to add a "background-color" to the "space" next the linenumber if there's a @todo: tag
Currently in majority of languages TODO FIXME NOTE BUG is drawn with bold red font. I hope, it will be visible enough
