Hang in there. I think I'm adding that feature in v.0.1.0 via the InMemoryBackendConfigArgs.passThruUnknownUrl flag.
I say "I think" because I haven't tested it yet. I just wanted to get the idea baked in.

Yup. I'd say today if I can get the right eyes on it.
Note that it has a new package name: angular-in-memory-web-api (no "angular2")

How do I pass InMemoryBackendConfigArgs.passThruUnknownUrl?
InMemoryWebApiModule.forRoot(MockData, { passThruUnknownUrl:true }) doesn't seem to work.
I get "EXCEPTION: Error: Uncaught (in promise): TypeError: collection is undefined" error in console.
