vmware_guest: virt_based_security switch does not work as expected about community.vmware HOT 4 CLOSED

Hi @benjaminrein, I have tried using this parameter "virt_based_security" when creating a VM on vSphere 6.7GA using the same playbook you provided, the testing result is:

new VM with "virt_based_security" set to False: VM created with VBS disabled
new VM with "virt_based_security" set to True: VM created with VBS enabled
reconfigure VM with "virt_based_security" set to False: VBS disabled if enabled before and VM in powered off state
reconfigure VM with "virt_based_security" set to True: VBS enabled if disabled before and VM in powered off state

What's the error messages you got when you creating a new VM and reconfigure it? Thanks.

Thanks @Tomorrow9 for testing this. Unfortunately I don't get an error message, when creating or reconfigurering the VM. The VM is created just fine except the wrong setting for virt_based_security if the switch is present.

I know this is not much to track down the problem. I will try to get some more debug output. At least we know now, that it's working with 6.7 GA.
