Thank you, @aonez. When do you expect that build to go public?

I tested creating the 60gb split GZIP package in 20gb pieces on the "Store" setting with no compression and it compressed the resulting package to 21.5gb. It also is not created tarballs for the resulting split packages. The setting for "Always tarball non-archiving formats (like GZ or BZIP2) is checked in the preferences. Is this another bug in the current release?

Hi @adamscott278,

Sorry about the confusion. That feature never worked for the TAR format, that's why it was removed from the interface back in 2021 in the version 1.2.50. The wiki is very outdated, sorry for that too.

I suggest you use BZIP2, GZIP or XZ instead with the compression level set at "Store". Note all those create tarballs by default.

You can always ask for a refund to Apple if any of those alternatives suit your workflow.

Thank you, @aonez. I have tried creating a 60gb GZIP package split into 20gb pieces, but the program keeps hanging during verification. Any advice?

@adamscott278 I'm so sorry you've catched a bug that just found and patched yesterday. You can disable the verification or use this build instead: Keka-v1.3.5.r5257

You can use that build until a new public version comes.

Again I'm so sorry you are having the worst introduction to Keka ever. I can assure usually goes flawlessly.

Sorry @adamscott278 since that was an edit of your original comment I missed that. I can't reproduce any of those issues. Aren't your resulting files ending with a tgz or tar.gz extension?

At this point a log of the compression would be the best option so I can try to replicate the issue. Please create a debug session, replicate the issue and attach the log here.
