Hi 👋 I'm Alan Ramsay

I'm a Software Engineer based just outside Edinburgh

Hi, I am Alan a software engineer and graduated for CodeClan Edinburgh in 2020 where I was on their Professional Software Developer Course. I am based outside Edinburgh, Scotland and have an interest in Home Automation, Full Stack dev and DevOps. The platform I use for my home automation is the opensource Home Assistant which has a great community. Another techy interest of mine is 3D Printing, where I use my Creality Ender 3 printer to print allsorts of things for my home automation setup and a lot of usless stuff too.

Since graduating from CodeClan I have proudly been volunteering for the Scottish Tech Army and have been learning lots while helping charities and organisations. I currently work for MI:RNA Diagnostics.
