Automatically set webdriver system properties about driver-binary-downloader-maven-plugin HOT 2 CLOSED

I was thinking of adding a latest or current mapping that would always map to the selected version of the binary whilst still allowing you to have multiple versions if required.

A way to allow the plugin to set system properties also sounds like a good idea.

Basically I'm completely happy with how it was done in https://github.com/klieber/phantomjs-maven-plugin. Just want the same functionality for other drivers.

That plugin allows you to configure which property you'd like to set

...
<plugin>
  <groupId>com.github.klieber</groupId>
  <artifactId>phantomjs-maven-plugin</artifactId>
 <configuration>
   <propertyName>path.to.phantomjs</propertyName>
   ...

And then use this property with surefire plugin

...
<plugin>
  <groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
  <artifactId>maven-surefire-plugin</artifactId>
  <configuration>
    <systemPropertyVariables>
      <phantomjs.binary.path>${path.to.phantomjs}</phantomjs.binary.path>
      ...

Or you can set system property directly
