Create plugins for WordPress and other popular platforms about goatcounter HOT 5 CLOSED

There's now a (very basic) WordPress plugin at: https://github.com/zgoat/goatcounter-wordpress

I'll have to work on it a bit more to add some common settings and such, but at last this should make it a bit easier to add GoatCounter to WordPress in the common case (turns out that was a bit hard before).

@whysthatso Nah I haven't done anything yet, too stressed out by the pandemic. I encourage you to take the first steps, I'd be happy to help test etc. If not, I'll get around to it someday ;-)

I might be able to help with this somewhat, I'm an amateur but technically I have made and published a (crappy) Wordpress plugin before.

Having a Wordpress plugin is very important to me, I'm working on moving a non-profit's site from Squarespace to Wordpress and I want to try GoatCounter instead of Google Analytics. Having a Wordpress plugin would help me a lot and possibly make the difference between using GoatCounter or not at launch (or at all).

It doesn't need to do much: just inject the site code in the page (preferably somewhere near the end, but anywhere will do really). There only needs to be one parameter (the endpoint in data-goatcounter). Some more options could be added, but that's optional.

It's probably pretty close to a "hello, world"-sample plugin for most apps; I just haven't gotten around to looking in to it yet 😅 Any help would of course be greatly appreciated!
