Yeah, that's pretty much it. You can also import server logs in goatcounter.
In general, I figure that relative statistics (that is: "20% more than last month") is probably the most useful one in the first place, and that it often doesn't matter if we're talking about e.g. 20,000 or 50,000 people.

I don't think it's really possible to do this technically, since most adblockers will block any remote endpoint, and not just the script. So where/how do you send this information?

First of all @arp242 I know you hear this all the time, but goatcounter is the GOAT.
You are right. It wouldn't be possible to communicate a "block" event to because adblockers will block those SEND request to the API as well.
