@arrterian I may be mistaken but I don't think nixEnvSelector.nixShellDirectories solves this problem.
The issue being mentioned here is at helpers.ts#L22. node-env is hard coded without the ability to specify a path.
@czifro for what it's worth, I was able to work around this by adding this line to my Dockerfile
RUN echo '. $HOME/.nix-profile/etc/profile.d/nix.sh' > /etc/profile.d/nix.sh
but that didn't completely fix it. It kept calling nix-env -A even though nixShellConfigAttr was unset.
