Maybe this one https://groups.google.com/g/comp.security.ssh/c/sc0rfhyJT_0 is leading to the right direction regarding access to the device for the random numbers.
Apart from that a known issue would be #348 but that seems to be a different problem here.

I had the same issue, using it on Ubuntu. After installing the version 0.30.15, FTPS was working.
