@c0nsaw It's a plugin called dashboard, you can simply disable it from lua/user/settings.lua
in here by setting it to false and doing a :PackerSync
after that.

Making a quick little intro and guide does sound very good to me, Would making a blog on this topic be helpful?
from astronvim.
Yes @kabinspace , that would be a great help!!
from astronvim.
This would be indeed very helpful! Though a whole blog is probably a lot of work. At least for me, a simple additional readme would have been enough.

hey @ARJITMALIK @Rot127 , if you don't mind me asking. What type of content you guys want as beginners to have in the readme?
from astronvim.
I think it can be expected that people know vim commands.
Therefore I would go with the mapped commands in mappings.txt.
Maybe something like:
Basic_navigation_intro.md
- Open source file in example git directory
- Open file tree
- Open new buffer
- Switch between buffers
- Resize buffers
- Open and close terminal
...
Similar for the LSP mappings and the Telescope one.
So, really just the basics. Maybe with some links to the more detailed documentation of each plugin.
In case users want to know more.

I personally don't code in lua and when I was porting my vim settings across I came into a few roadblocks, would be nice to have something about how port some basic things maybe? I largely followed examples you already had, thanks!
