Not sure if you've seen this, but there was a port of space-pen previously to remove all jQuery dependencies, it also has no dependencies on underscore.

Wow ok looks great. My main issue is how up to date this is kept and whether there is any need for it in the first place. Why couldn't space-pen be this and then the added dependencies only added for atom?

This is definitely the goal in the long term, it just hasn't been a high priority yet to refactor it.

Ok so what would it take I make this happen, what needs to happen to help top this over the edge? If it helps we are wanting to use space-pen in the rewrite we are currently doing of the glimpse client. I'm also happy to help out with some of the work too.

As stated in the README, this package is no longer maintained and is deprecated. We recommend that people use the etch package instead. Because of this, we are archiving this repository and closing all issues and pull requests. Thanks very much for your support and contributions!
