Hello,
it's not in the core of atoum to do this, but there is a workaround.
<?php
namespace {
function hi() {
return 'hi';
}
}
namespace test\unit {
class stdClass extends \atoum\atoum
{
public function test_hi()
{
$this->string(\hi())->isEqualTo('hi');
}
}
}
I know it's not the solution you are looking for, but it's the one that I can give you. I think I can imagine a solution

Hello,
could you give me a bit more example of what you try to achieve?

Hello,
could you give me a bit more example of what you try to achieve?
Of course, thank you-
Suppose I have the following file in the src/
directory of my project, named core.php
:
<?php namespace MyProject\Core;
function hi() {
return 'hi';
}
I want to test that this hi
function behaves correctly, so I create a test file in the perscribed tests/units/
directory of my project, also named core.php
:
<?php
namespace MyProject\tests\units;
require_once __DIR__ . '/../../vendor/bin/atoum'; // Installed via composer
include_once __DIR__ . '/../../src/core.php';
use atoum\atoum;
use MyProject\Core;
class CoreTest extends atoum\test
{
public function test_hi()
{
$this->string(Core\hi())->isEqualTo('hi');
}
}
Subsequently running this file results in errors saying that the tested class Project\CoreTest
doesn't exist. However, I am not trying to test any class at all!
Goes without saying that PHPUnit does not give me such an error.
