auto-complete is pull from github (commit 83e8ed8)
and emacs version is GNU Emacs 23.1.1

The newest commit ( be3d49e) fixes the bug. But if there is 'tab' after current position, auto-compete fails again. Example:
/*****_/
- mm_struc 'tab'1234567890
/**_*/
Assume we have only only completion candidate 'mm_struct' and there is a 'tab' after 'mm_struc' in line 1. And then we run 'ac-start' after character 'c' and the completion show like this:
mm_structXXXXXXX890
X is space with underline. But after completion, everything is ok.
