Great timing, I've just been making this change (resolve by name) in 1.1. It annoys
me too, I'll backport it to 1.0 in the next day or two.
Regarding registration order - yes, the standard behaviour is return the last
registered instance. I tend to start out with a bunch of defaults and override them
as necessary. I will update the documentation.
Do you prefer an explicit 'overrides' syntax?
