I am going to try my hand at improving the error handling for the ML module using thiserror.
I am new to rust and this is going to be my first contribution to an open source project of this size!

Hey thanks so much! Really appreciate the interest.
Just before you do any work, take a quick look at the current open PR regarding error handling.
We will be making an error module and using that as a base for the library.
Feel free to comment there that you'd also like to work on error handling so that all of us know who is doing what :)
