Yes, it occurs both in the Edge and Chrome webstore versions.

That's very strange, Edge is my daily driver on Windows 10 (though I'm using the CWS version), and yet I've never encountered this issue
Although I'm a YouTube Premium customer, I tried to open it in InPrivate but didn't get the issue after skipping an ad; instead, it auto-played successfully
Does the issue still occur if you install the CWS version (and disable the Edge store version)?

Seems like I don't have a special configuration for YouTube

After some tests, it appears that this setting in Edge causes it: Media Autoplay, when set to "Limit", at least on my system. If I set this to "allow", the video resumes automatically after clicking on "Skip ads".
