Thanks for reaching out @frank-fischer-by. Yes, this needs to be addressed by the Azure platform team, perhaps the Az CLI product team. We'll surely convey the feedback to the concerned team.

Thanks for the quick and positive feedback 😄. Looking forward to the outcome of this.
I considered updating the action with support for JSON/YAML myself (I have barely any TypeScript experience, though; so no promises that I do have the time to dig into how the deployment API authentication works, how Typescript works and how GH actions fit into that).
Is this generally something that would be accepted and is this the right approach?
Or do you think it's more reasonable to first wait for an answer from the Azure platform team before investing work here?

Product team has confirmed that this issue is already getting tracked under azure-cli github repo - you can check the discussion & details on the GitHub issue. Azure/azure-cli#13777. Hoping that helps and Closing this issue for now. Thanks!
